Karen, how was work today? Did you manage to avoid the smokers? Sometime in the future someone elses smoking a cig may not be a problem...but for now just keep away from temptation as much as possible.
water, gum, patches, wellbutrin, hard candy (sugur free?)....keep you mouth busy on something besides smokes.
Got a boyfriend? Well, just a thought.

There was no way I could quit cold turkey. Without the patch and the Wellbutrin I don't think I could have done it.
Get the patch at least.

Hi Karen. Pick yourself up, dust yourself off and start again. The only things that's shameful is if we quit trying. You can do it, I know you can.

Hello Karen, and welcome. I had a lot of success from using Nicoderm CQ. The only downfall for me was that it was expensive, but I think it worked in my favor because I hate wasting money! Anyway, hope you keep trying, and good luck! J 1 month, 3 weeks, 6 days, 2 hours, 17 minutes $220.18 saved 1161 not smoked 4 days, 45 minutes life saved

Karen, you gotta take that "try" word out of your vocabulary. That's leaving you an excuse to crash and burn. You need a much more positive attitude. Hope to see you real soon.

Karen,
My first evening after I quit I cried. I wanted a cigarette but I knew I couldn't smoke therefore I won't get a cigarette to smoke. I had to make the simple equation in my mind. Then I cried again realizing I was never going to smoke again.
One month, two weeks, one day, 19 hours, 36 minutes and 10 seconds. 1603 cigarettes not smoked, saving $240.54. Life saved: 5 days, 13 hours, 35 minutes.
You can quit when you want to quit. I agree with the prior poster. Take the word "try" out of your statements. Also get an aid. Patch gum etc.
KTQ! If I could do it, I know you can.

Thanks for the support gang. And Gracie, you are right on the mark with that you said about taking the "trying" out of the vocabulary. I know that to be true in other things in my life too. When I said, I am gonna do it, I always succeeded.
Love,
Karen

Karen, Karen,. Karen. Wish I was near to offer a shoulder for you to cry on. An ear to listen to your fears. a voice to offer constant encouragement.
Seldom does anything good come easily. It takes patience, courage, determination. Use any aids you can find...tell people what you are doing...then do it! Don't look back, don't regret the decision to quit smokling.
Your life is at stake. A future without a tank of air on your back or a hole cut into your throat. Better breathing, better sleeping, better health.
You'll have to fight for the prize. Please keep trying.
