Well, gang here are my stats so far 1 hour, 27 minutes and 31 seconds. 2 cigarettes not smoked, saving $0.32. Life saved: 10 minutes. Not a lot of time, but we all had to start somewhere. I will stay smoke free the rest of the day. Tomorrow will be a new day but today is all I am worried about right now. Thanks for all the support. Will see you all in the morning. Love, Karen

Hi everyone! Well I am still smokefree as I write this. Although I have to say, I woke up this morning with a killer headache, sinuses mostly, and my teeth hurt and I am stiff all over. I must have slept wrong or something last night and God knows what else is going on. I am going to go walking when hubby gets home from work as that is something I enjoy doing and get me some fresh air. Hope you all have a great day. Thanks for your support.
Love,
Karen
12 hours, 7 minutes and 15 seconds. 17 cigarettes not smoked, saving $2.65. Life saved: 1 hour, 25 minutes.

Oh, I hear ya there snowmom! Staying focused on why I am quitting is important. I do love life and would like to be around for a long time and enjoy it. I would like to see my son grow up, he is 9, and see him get married someday. I want to be able to do new things and not have to have my cigarettes along as a emotional crutch. I want to breath easier and to sleep better. There are lots of good reasons to stay quit and not any really good reasons to start again. I am someone who can get addicted to anything I swear though!
Still smokefree here! 16 hours, 6 minutes and 53 seconds. 23 cigarettes not smoked, saving $3.52. Life saved: 1 hour, 55 minutes.

I smoked again. No good reason. Got mad at hubby and used it as an excuse. Not giving up. Just wanted to be honest and let you all know. Have a good night. Love, Karen

Karen, smoking one ciggy is not a slip. Did you continue to smoke for the rest of the evening? Get right back on that horse and ride. You can do it.

Don't let anyone or anything come between you and your health. It is YOU that will be suffering the consequences, no one else. Quit for YOU. Because YOU love YOU... I know you can do it, Karen. God Bless and Keep you safe from Cigarettes

We all have smoked for any and no reason.
You must find reason NOT to smoke.
It will be bumpy, it will be rough. It will be HELL! But, it will be done!
Stick with it. You must regain control over your life. Even if it means planning for a cig once every day at a set time. Show the beast who is in control. You've done it before and you can do it again!

Struggling.
I've yet to hear anyone say quiting was easy.
Because it is not, makes the value of quiting more coveted and worthy of continual efforts to attain.

Hi gang. It has been quite awhile since I have posted, mostly because I was not ready to quit I guess...once I got honest with myself. My hubby and I have set a date of September 9 to quit. We will also be getting some info and support and possibly stop quit aides through our insurance company. I remember I had posted here back in November of last year and wanted to come back and join. I will keep you posted more consistently this time. Have a good night. Karen

never quit quitting! Glad you're back!
Best wishes for hubby and you.
Do it for yourself first. Show hubby your determination! It's always good to have a quit-buddy.
