Oh Don I am sorry to hear about your mother. Hope things do get back to normal for you soon. I didn't know you lost 3 close people. My brother passed away 3 days before my husband's surgery. That rough road is familiar. Prayers to you and your family.

Yes, it's too quiet. Hubby has a birthday today. He had a quiet pleasant day. I made home made beef stew and he made biscuits. The weather here is warm, sunny and beautiful covered leaves. Glad things are going well for you.

I brought hubby home yesterday. He isn't feeling the best yet, but it takes time. He tells everyone he knows that he never thought he would have cancer. Nurse was here today and will be for quite awhile. ncpops It is good to know you were here. I also use oxygen at night, see a lung doctor but I am thankful to be smokefree. Don I noticed that it's been quiet here. So if anyone wants to stop smoking, this is the place to be,

I noticed that it has been quiet and I am smokefree. Hubby had lung surgery this morning. He quit smoking when he found out he had lung cancer. He had part of his right lung removed . He is in intensive care for another day. I think we met every doctor. Won't know til next week if he will need chemo. He was scared and so am I. He said to me "I'm like others that smoke. I thought nothing would happen to me." We don't lecture anyone because I don't know if it would help. He said this was his wake up. Spent most of my day in the hospital. Smoking is not worth all of this. It's been almost 5 years for me.

I am here, but with sadness. My husband was diagnosed with lung cancer. Cancer is such an ugly word.

I forgot to mention something. Last night hubby and myself went to a wedding reception and enjoyed ourselves. We were sitting at a table by a window and watched as others went out to smoke and chatted. I remember when I used to do that and I don't miss it. Yes I have copd and I wish I would have quit a long time ago. My daughter quit a little more than a month ago. Hard habit to stop but it can be done.
