I am so sorry for your loss countryblocks. I was just thinking of this place as I celebrated 142 months without a cigarette today. I remembered how this site helped me in the beginning and decided to come and see what was going on. I went to Quitnet for many years also and they have changed it quite a bit and I forget to go there daily. I still remember who helped me quit though and the people here were some of them. I am sorry I have been absent but I am still nicotine free. Karen 9-8-2005

I will start the roll call, albeit a bit late. I am still not smoking and very happy for that fact. I caught a cold this past month and was reminiscing on how hard it was to get rid of them when I smoked two packs a day. I do not miss that! Tomorrow would have been mine and my husband's 24th wedding anniversary. He has been gone 13 plus months now and it is hard to believe. He did die a nonsmoker though. I was so proud of him!

I am here, albeit MIA for awhile. I am still nicotine free and celebrated 10 years on September 8. It has been one year on September 6 since I lost my husband passed away and it has been hard but my son and I have made it through. We have lots of good support and that has meant the world to us. I will try not to be so MIA anymore. The time just got away from me and I realized it had been a long time since I came here. I will try and catch up on post. I wanted to thank you all though, as this group is one of the groups that helped me get started when I quit.

I am still around and still smoke free. My husband also quit smoking a year ago this past December too. It is one of the best things I have done in a long time. Karen

I just wanted to come by and say thank you all for being such a great support in my quitting smoking. I know I have not been around much but I never forget you all and how patient and supportive you all were when I would come back after falling so many times in my quit and finally getting a quit that stayed! I hope you all are doing well and for those of you that are struggling, my prayers, hugs and love coming your way.

;D I am still around and proud to be a nonsmoker. I have the week off, and although it was only 17 above when I woke up this morning I plan on it being a great day. A nonsmoking day for sure.

I piled the weight on this quit like I said I wasn't going to but it is okay. I have lost 46 pounds since the beginning of June and am overjoyed. I am still not smoking, 7 years smoke free this past September 8, and am getting back into shape. I weigh less than I did when I quit smoking which is awesome!!! It is a new journey for me and I have great support in it and am very blessed and grateful.
