You're doing real good there....stay strong!
Late night tv stinks...infomercial mania. Keep the phone and credit cards away during those nights of insomnia.
Warm chocolate milk or a good heavy beer can help relax your nighttime mind. Or a Sudafed cold tablet.
There are lots of "new" discoveries and actions that will take place being Quit.
One such discovery I found most profoundly delightful was once trying to light the candles on my son's birthday cake and realized I had no matches or lighter. I had to bum a lighter from my smoking brother.
Smokeless, Live it!

You're off, on your way Karyn!
Last day of January and in my mind...winter. This is something I look forward to every winter. Yeah I know it could still go sub-zero or dump a good load of snow in Feb, but in my mind winter ends today.
These little mind tricks are aptly applied to quitting as well. I didn't quit, I just stopped.
cigless since:10-27-99

When the going gets tough...go smell that jacket! ..or peruse the beef jerky isle at your local supermarket.
Beef jerky...lungs...do the comparison.
Stay strong Karyn...YOU CAN DO THIS!

UGH! Driving without a smoke was a killer to get used to. Especially when stuck in traffic when you're in a hurray. (Plan ahead!)
It's a wild ride Matt. But the more you do the usual things without smoking...the more usual it will become again.
Now I know those rc planes aren't all electric powered. Don't let us be catching you huffing around the exhaust and glow plugs on those babies!

Matt, Your wife is pregnant and you're in withdrawal.... Good God Man! Why not just throw the detonator switch! Run! Run for the bomb shelter!! ;D
Seriously...during this time try to avoid conflict. Remember that any "touchyness" is not the doing of others but the devilishness of Ol' Nic.
Think of the money you're saving that you can apply to your hobby!

I believe that fatigue is a completely normal side effect of quitting. IF you can do it, go with it and sleep. Those sleeping hours are hours spent not smoking.
Btw..day 3 without nicotine is usually the hardest in Hell week.
Detox your body and detox your mind.
Go for it Matt!
