Good morning all! I've been fighting a killer cold this past week but I think I should be good enough to Ho back to work tomorrow. I'm lucky I have understanding bosses. I think that my not smoking helps a lit. I would probably have a hacking cough now if I were still smoking. Don like you I have not one single regret that I quit smoking and a million things to be grateful for that I did. As for cold weather here not so much. We had a bit of snow last week which quickly turned to rain. Indeed I expect cherry blossoms soon. We don't get sun like California but our winters are very mild. We really only have two seasons here in Vancouver Canada and they are spring and fall with a couple of weeks of the rest. Well have a great week my lovelies. Stay warm and smokefree and all will be well.

Hello all! Checking in on this sunny west coast day. Have you noticed the days are getting longer? Soon the crocuses and cherry blossoms...
Dot, you are amazing. You never quit quitting. Keep it up. You will win one of these days.

Good morning everyone and Happy New Year! Slim, congratulations on Michigan being a smoke free state. and Pops, I love soup and sandwiches!
Had a craving the other day. It was strange...it was a strong well mildly strong one - new situation - boredom...hmmmm this cold weather is keeping me housebound and triggered a crave. Imagine smoking because you're bored...madness.
We are expecting a snow storm beginning this evening, turning to rain overnight. Don't forget, we are over the hump and the days are getting longer, the nights shorter. I already notice that the sun sets later and later each day.
I think it will be five years for me this May. Hurray! Each day gets better and better.

Hello everyone! It was time to renew my phone so I got a Google desire phone. It is so cool! Three year sure makes a difference especially in technology especially with the iPhone. This isn't an iPhone but it is still fabulous. I have internet unlimited testing 200 minutes talk time during business hours and 6:00 start. I used to pay the same for no text 30 min a month talk time. The iPhone has really shaken things up and I just love it! I am thus able to check in with you now and am able to wish you all the very best for this wonderful time of year. We all have so much to be grateful for don't we? And much of that is due to our not smoking. How far we have all travelled. I remember when I first quit and having to watch my sugar level. Now I can shop for bouts without stopping!!
Well I believe I have finished my shopping and tomorrow I shall wrap. It will be our first Christmas without our dad and we are all gathering. There will be some 40 coming. My niece will be announcing her engagement. It should be a very specil Christmas.
Merry Christmas everyone and all the very best.

Good morning Karen! I am still smoke-free too and still very grateful for it. I am tidying up getting ready for my holidays next week and suddenly had a craving for a cigarette. I used to light one up when I had nothing to do. Ever so grateful I don't turn to cigarettes for any emotional solace. You let that crave go and find it was nothing. When I smoked, I would have had a cigarette, not knowing that moment would have passed anyhow.
Started on my Christmas shopping now.
Have a great smokeless week everyone!

Hello everyone! My Gawd! 2011 coming up. I just got used to 2010! I'm telling you, time is passing faster than I can keep up!
Started on my Christmas plans. Taking the two weeks off over Christmas and New Years...ahhhhh love taking that time off. Got hockey tickets for my nephews. Shopping for the girls will be a piece of cake after that. We're having the whole gang over for Christmas dinner this year. It's the first Christmas without my dad so we are making it extra warm and extra good...
Still ever so grateful for not smoking.

Congratulations Country! I remember how hard it was for you and with a spouse who smokes! Wow! I don't know if I would have been able to do it. Keep it up!
And Dot! You know the saying, Never Quit Quitting! That's the secret.
I guess that applies to all of us doensn't it. Never quit quitting.
Well, unseasonable Arctic front moved in to our area. The Seattle area got the worst of it but we are freezing here in Vancouver. The snow starts tonight - a mix of snow and rain - who can tell how that will be...I've got my warrior boots on anyhow and an umbrella.

Good morning all! Did they skip a month this year? I'm sure of it because it can't be November already! My Gawd! I was still getting used to October and I was told it was already November and half way through at that!
Had a big wind storm last night and it poured too. Today is a pause between fronts. Nice out, sunny. Make hay while you can! Tomorrow, a new front comes in bringing rain and colder weather. Some on the higher elevations and interiors are already snowing.
What about that explosion in Mexico hmm? Gosh.
Well, you're right Don. Nice to not have to huddle outside in this type of weather.
Stay smokefree everyone!

Good morning everyone! It's a cold slightly rainy day here. One of those grey days that are so soulful. Love it.
Wouldn't want to be going outside for a smoke though.
So grateful for being freed of that menace.
KTQ everyone.

Good morning everyone! I thought I had checked in but that was last week! Gosh, where does the time go! My boss quit and his last day was this Monday so it has been non-stop for the last while amidst sadness. Well, you can't stop progress and you can't hold people back. We will remain in contact as we have become good friends so the parting is not so bad. I find since my dad passed away in August that it has been one loss after another. My boss, my bus commute buddy got a new job so he will be commuting at different times, my neighbour of two years has moved out. Lots of change for me. I suppose practise makes perfect. I hate change so I've had to re-think that one and now while watching the construction go on in front of my place by the City, instead of bemoaning the ruckus or the loss of the old way, I'm actually excited to see what new and exciting thing will come of it. I go forward with a bit of a crack in the heart for the loss but with hope and good cheer welcome the new.
Gosh, do I sound like a poster or what! Well, blame that on my quitting smoking. All this new energy and attitude came about since I quit smoking. It's given me a new lease on life and I am ever so grateful for it each and every day. I would not have been able to get through all the changes had I still been smoking.
So, keep the quit everyone and never take it for granted.

Good morning Ann! I'm doing great with my quit. Still grateful and loving every minute of it! The Board has been quiet. I hope everyone wakes up and checks in soon. It's lonely.
Have a great week everyone and KTQ!
