>:(I had a pretty big peanut butter cup ice cream cone in a waffle cone. What really makes it bad is I made it myself and could have just put a LITTLE ice cream on it, but went WAY over the half cup allowed. I can't control myself. It's as bad as smoking as far as I'm concerned, but at least it doesn't stink! That was last night. Today I will do better and NO ICE CREAM ALLOWED!

Maybe if we have to tell each other our "sins" we'll not give in to our junk food cravings. So far today I have not had ANY junk food, but my craving doesn't kick in until about 9 o'clock in the evening. But maybe, since I have to tell you, I won't eat any of that Moose Tracks ice cream in the freezer. Maybe....

Is this where you ride Judy? It's beautiful. Looks so serene and peaceful. I dug out more sod today. Slept in til 7 this morning...that felt SO good. Didn't go to Curves, but figure the digging was good enough. Had to knock all the dirt loose from the sod, so I worked hard enough for one day! Will be digging up Irises and Daylilies tomorrow. Sunday will be planting new Daylilies, hope the weather holds out. I'm going to be doing a lot of bending and twisting.

I went to Curve's. That's it. That's all I've done exercise-wise today. The temperature is in the high 80's and the heat index is about 95 so I can't even go out in that kind of heat. Maybe after if cools down, if it does, we can go for a bike ride. Not 55 miles though Judy!

Wow Judy, congrats on the mileage on the bike. Dang, I feel good if I can make it 5 miles.
I think you need to look into the side effects of that medicine again. I don't know how your doctor could be so sure it wasn't that when it was listed as one of the side effects. I know you ride your bike a LOT, so unless you are really pigging out, (and I know you're not) you shouldn't have major weight gain like that.

I can sympathize. I'm diabetic and I can't stay away from sugary things like candy, ice cream and cookies. I do very well all day, and then in the evening my resolve caves and I blow another good intention. I need help too. I've been good so far today, but here comes evening and I know that old sugar monster is getting ready to kick in. It's too hot to go for a walk, shoot, it's too hot to even go outside. I'm in the same boat as you patti, what can we do?

MK, ready or not, here I come! I've been to Curves twice this week. I didn't go yesterday because I was digging in the yard. I was removing grass and enlarging a flower bed to make room for Irises and Daylilies that I ordered online. I've already got the daylilies and the Irises will be here any day. Still got lots of work to do. That digging should jiggle something... ;D

I like to go to Curves as soon as they open in the morning (7 a.m.) and then come home and have a nice relaxing cup of coffee with hubby. Then start in on whatever the day has in store for me...after a shower that is ;D

I lost weight when I stuck to my diabetic guidelines, but that went by the wayside fairly quick. Need to get back into that healthy lifestyle!

MK, I am with you, Buddy. I commit to going to Curve's 3 times a week, walking as much as Michigan weather allows (too hot right now, heat index 91) and trying to be a good Diabetes patient which I have not been. Will commit to testing my blood sugar at least once a day. I haven't tested in months and don't watch what I eat...hench the weight gain. I had lost 30 lbs when I was first diagnosed with Diabetes, but somewhere along the line I found most of it again! I need someone to keep me honest.

Going to Curves and walking, walking, walking, and eating popcorn...no strike that. I don't know WHERE that came from.....

My 3 month goal is to be able to get INTO my fat clothes! ;D ;D ;D
Seriously, I want to lose at least 8 lbs by Sept. 12. Is that possible? Without starving I mean?

Dagnabit, my daughter introduced me to peanut butter and chocolate malts at Dairy Queen. They are probably off my food list now though. Dang

Isn't that a little hard on the teeth? The cold alone could shatter them ;D
