Well said, Ann. We missed so many things while we took our breaks. Roughly figured, I spent 125,000 hours of my life with a cigarette in my hand.

Hi Karyn, and welcome back.....I remember when we were both passing through here a long time ago. It sucks starting over again, but it won't kill either of us. I've been back onboard just over a month, and I agree...it's different this time. I can't seem to find the pride from the other quit....just a dull plodding along. But I guess that will get me there too....maybe if it's more difficult, I'll think twice before I'm tempted to light up! ;D. the energy starts coming back somewhat after 2 weeks or so. In the meantime, just be lazy and let life happen around you.
Here for you, Dot

Doing just fine and smoke-free here. Of course I've had enough practice. ;D
Sorry you've been sick, Don...Get your immune system back up and running so you DON'T get the flu. My mother was a new bride during the 1918 epidemic. She had to care for several members of her family...one of her sisters died, but had TB befor that. Anyway, I heard all the horror stories.
As for me, I'll just hybernate since I'm a stay at home anyway. Stay healthy, everybody.

Do keep us posted Jason....we're all interested in what works and why! No matter what aid we do or don't use, the support of others is really important. You never know when you might say just the right thing to help a struggling quitter!

Everyone says "never quit quitting", but for those who blew (or are thinking of blowing) a long quit.....
It's much harder this time, even though I know what I need to do. The first time, pride and accomplishment really carried me along when craves were strong. Not so now....
Of course I"m grateful for every day I make it through without smoking, I don't have as much support this time. Or as many to cheer me on. Friends and family are probably tired of my starts and stops, like "what's the big deal?" So I've got to depend on my own gumption this time.
So keep it in mind if you're quitting for the nth time! There will be many who supported you the first or second, but will just be sort of "yeah, yeah" when you try again.
I"ll be here to hold your hand and understand.
